Lake Charles, La.- Marsha Williams, an experienced banker and Lake Charles native has been promoted to the position of Senior VP/Chief Credit Officer. Williams has worked for JD Bank for three years, most recently serving as manager of the Credit Analysis Department. She actually accepted her first banking position more than 27 years ago while a student at McNeese State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Williams has years of experience in credit analysis/commercial loan underwriting and business relationship banking.

After 13 years in banking, Williams relocated from Lake Charles to Houston, where she worked for two of the country’s well-known regional banks. With the intent of being closer to family, she returned to Lake Charles, where her career eventually led her to lending/relationship banking experience with the nation’s largest bank. The opportunity to have more impact in the industry came in the form of a management position at JD Bank. “Working at a community bank allows you to have a true influence on the area in which you live and love,” Williams said. “It allows you to have a stronger impact on your community.  Decisions are made locally, rather than in a large city, with the people you live with and work with on a daily basis and with the needs of those people in mind. At JD Bank, our customers and our community come first,” Williams added.

She also relishes the role of “mom” to her 14-year-old daughter MacKenzie and 11-year-old daughter Delaynie, students at St. Louis Catholic High School and St. Margaret in Lake Charles.

President & CEO Boyd Boudreaux said, “Marsha’s responsibilities will include loan operations for all loan processes, credit analysis involved with underwriting commercial loans, maintaining processes for real estate loans, and accounts receivable and inventory financing. Her experience in the credit analysis and lending divisions of both large and smaller banks will serve her and our customers well. We welcome Marsha as a valuable member of JD Bank’s Executive Management Team.”
