Opelousas, La.- Elaina LeBlanc has been appointed AVP/Branch Manager of the Opelousas Branch, said JD Bank President & CEO Boyd R. Boudreaux. LeBlanc has more than 30 years in banking in Louisiana, and now she calls St. Landry Parish home. She was most recently employed by Hancock-Whitney Bank.
Boudreaux says LeBlanc’s appointment makes it possible for Tina Vidrine (who previously served as branch manager) time to focus on commercial lending through her vast network of customers in the Opelousas area. “Tina and Elaina make an incredible team in the Opelousas market. We are pleased to have someone with Elaina’s skillset and experience join our team of community bankers. She has held every position there is to hold at a bank branch,” Boudreaux added.
LeBlanc says she started as a “batch clerk,” recalling a time when she would validate each teller’s batch of transactions two times with a manual calculator. Since her early days in banking, LeBlanc has worked as a teller, also in loan review, credit analysis, commercial lending, and consumer lending. “
I love helping our customers, walking them through the steps of homeownership, opening their business, seeing their business grow, or just taking the time to understand their individual situation to help them get where THEY want to be,” said LeBlanc. “I’m so excited to join the team at JD Bank at the Opelousas Branch,” she added.
LeBlanc is very involved in community service, having volunteered for work with St. Landry-Evangeline United Way, Opelousas Boys and Girls Club, and Girl Scouts. Elaina has been married to her husband, Brent, for 21 years, and they have one son who attends high school in St. Landry parish.
