JD Bank, Louisiana’s Community Bank, is pleased to announce the opening of its newest location at 8380 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. This full-service branch will serve the personal and business financial needs of the Baton Rouge community. “JD Bank is a 78-year-old Louisiana-based community bank with deep roots across Southwest Louisiana. As we expand into Baton Rouge, we’ve assembled an outstanding Commercial Lending team that is already serving the market and building strong community partnerships,” said Paul E. Guthrie joins JD Bank after serving as Retail Branch Manager and Assistant Vice President with Regions Bank, where he managed a $40 million book of business and led a high-performing team focused on relationship-driven banking. He previously spent nearly two decades with JPMorgan Chase in leadership roles across business and commercial banking. A Baton Rouge resident, Guthrie is actively involved in the community, volunteering with the Baton Rouge Food Bank and supporting local arts organizations. Rounding out the Jefferson Highway retail team are Jessica Green, Universal Banker, and Jennifer Rushing, Universal Banker. All three team members are from the Baton Rouge area. The new Baton Rouge branch will also serve as the home base for JD Bank’s Commercial Lending and Mortgage teams in the market. The Commercial Lending team led by Mark Juneau and Cherine Patin, along with Mortgage Lender Martin Holifield, will operate from this location, consolidating the Bank’s current office into the new full-service branch.
