I was born and raised in New Orleans. Graduate of Brother Martin High School – ’72  by way of Cor Jesu High in 1968.  Growing up in several New Orleans neighborhoods gave me a deep appreciation of the different cultures of the city as well as lifestyles of varied people. I began working in banking in 1975 as a drive–up teller in the Upper Ninth Ward.  At that point I had no idea that I would spend the next 47 years making a career out of helping peoples’ dreams come true.  I was fortunate early in my career to work with very talented and unselfish people who mentored and guided me and helped me become the person I am today.  I hope I have given back and continue to give back to the younger bankers those life lessons that I have learned.  Working in retail banking as well as commercial banking has given me the opportunity to meet a varied and interesting clientele that I have learned much from.  The challenges and changes I have seen in the world of banking have been an extremely rewarding experience for me.

My wife Julie and I were married in 1981 and we have 1 son. When not working I enjoy taking road trips to small towns and also driving to our vacation destinations.  To relax at home I enjoy reading biographies of historical people and studying classical guitar.
