JENNINGS, La. – JD Bank is pleased to announce and welcome Commercial Loan Associate Chawana V. Fontenot and Loan Associate Fran Ortego to the Eunice branch office. Both are longtime Eunice residents and are established in facilitating lending transactions for individuals and businesses in the region.

Fontenot recently worked for Tri-Parish Bank as a Mortgage Loan Originator and previously worked at a Eunice attorney’s office for nearly three decades handling loan closings in real estate and mortgages. With JD Bank she will work with commercial loan customers and assist in facilitating all types of other loans.
Fontenot served on the Eunice City Council for 12 years, representing Ward 3. She has also been heavily involved in the Eunice Recreation Program and St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Ortego will assist the Branch Manager and the Consumer Loan Officers. She was a Mortgage Loan Processor and Closer for Tri-Parish Bank before joining JD Bank, among several responsibilities she held during her eight years at Tri-Parish. Ortego is a graduate of LSU-Eunice and an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
